Compare the Virtuoso SS15 and ANYONE FOREVER R.01 to decide which limited edition deck fits your cardistry or collection goals, with clear decision rules.
Quick answer
Choose the Virtuoso SS15 if you want a seasonal 2015 release from the Virtuoso line and value its place in a collection. Choose the ANYONE FOREVER R.01 if you want the first printing of a deck whose tuck box will change in later runs and prefer a lower-cost entry into a limited edition.
Why the printing and edition matter more than the label
Both decks are limited editions, but the nature of their limits differs. The ANYONE FOREVER R.01 is explicitly the first printing of a deck that will remain in stock while its tuck box changes, so the first printing is the version tied to this specific box. The Virtuoso SS15 is a spring-summer 2015 release from the Virtuoso series, which means its availability is tied to that seasonal run rather than an ongoing reprint program. If you care about owning a particular version, check which printing or edition you are buying before you order.
The trade-off between a seasonal series and a changing box
A seasonal series like the Virtuoso SS15 gives you a defined place in a line, but it also means the deck is not refreshed. The ANYONE FOREVER R.01 works the other way: the deck stays available, but the tuck box evolves, so the first printing is the one that will not be repeated. Neither approach is better in general; the right choice depends on whether you want a fixed point in a series or the earliest version of an ongoing release.
Decision rules for choosing between SS15 and Forever R.01
- If you want a fixed seasonal release: Pick the Virtuoso SS15 when you specifically want the 2015 spring-summer edition from the Virtuoso line and are comfortable that it is not an ongoing reprint. Confirm the edition matches the season you are collecting before you buy.
- If you want the first printing of a changing deck: Pick the ANYONE FOREVER R.01 when you want the initial tuck box before later printings change it, and you are not relying on the deck staying identical forever. Check that the listing is the first printing, not a later box variation.
- If budget is the deciding factor: Compare the current catalog prices at checkout; the R.01 is listed lower, but confirm the final price and shipping before you decide. Do not assume the lower list price is the lower total cost until shipping is included.
- If you are buying for daily practice: Neither deck is described with handling specifications in the catalog, so base a practice purchase on the edition you want rather than assumed performance. If handling is critical, ask the seller for stock or handling details before ordering.

ANYONE FOREVER R.01 PLAYING CARDS - VIRTUOSO SS15 PLAYING CARDS: Spring-summer 2015 edition from the Virtuoso series, presented by Paperdecks. The seasonal label tells you this is a fixed 2015 release, so availability depends on existing stock rather than future reprints.
