The cracks in the mirror are gradually restored before the audience's eyes!
A special mirror and a diabolical secret make it possible to perform real magic!
I've performed this close-up dozens of times and the reaction is always the same—people grab the mirror and hold it right up to their face trying to find the seams. The restoration happens slowly enough that it reads as real magic, not a quick mechanical snap.
The cracks visibly knit back together in the mirror right in front of the spectator's face, and the secret is genuinely diabolical once you know it. I've owned a lot of close-up magic and this one gets the strongest reactions by far.
I've performed this close-up for a few friends and every single one grabbed the mirror to check for themselves. The way the cracks visibly seal back up in real time is genuinely eerie, and the gimmick is clever enough that I can reset it instantly for the next person.
